The Green Alcove

...... a small, independent business, located in Richmond Virginia......  

Cynthia Hannan, the owner of  the green alcove, has worked in the corporate gift-giving/promotional products industry for over 15 years....initially, as Vice President of RSVP Corporate, a corporate gift-buying company, located in New Jersey... then as an independent contractor for an Ad Specialty/Promotional Products company in the Richmond, Virginia and Washington, D.C. area.  

In 2004, the focus of her company changed ....to offering corporations  recycled glass awards and promotional items from recycled and sustainable resources.  The corporations were excited about the message and the company grew.

In 2006 another opportunity presented itself with The Shops at 5807......the green alcove was one of 21 vendors under one roof. Cynthia offered gifts and home accessories made from recycled and sustainable resources, while supporting fair trade artisans around the world.  

In 2008, the green alcove left its location while adding another service to its home accessories and gift business....  a 'green' home staging service developed.....to help green your home while getting ready for a sale or an event by reducing the clutter, recycling some pieces for the next generation and reusing your items in a new way.  From re-arranging furniture, suggestions on low VOC paint colors, to accessorizing your home all to create flow and positive energy.
