Fruit & Veggie Wash Powder

I really like this!!! I ran out of my usual fruit wash and decided to give this a try and it’s very effective. I put my cherry tomatoes in and within a couple of minutes the wax started to come off. I had some tomatoes that I washed earlier in the week with another fruit wash and the wax came off those as well! So far I've used this on my cherries, apples, and oranges (I use the rind for tea). I will use this for now on.

Amazing to see how dirty the water turned from cleaning and it did not leave a bad taste on the strawberries

Used it to wash my tomatoes this year and worked much better than just water. I would get them a little wet, put this on them and wash them with my hands. They would be shiny after words. Much more so than with just water.Saw no issues with it, it didn't burn when working with it, it didn't wash right off so you could use it to fully clean.

While there are various ways to clean fruits and vegetables, this was a very convenient way to do so. The packaging was on point and I like how it is easy to hold with convenient lid for pouring. It is easily stored near your prep area without taking up too much room or looking out of place! If you follow instructions, it can last for 50 washes. At the regular price point, it seems a bit steep but it does seem to go on sale at times making it a better value for those who may use these types of products regularly. It does seem to work well, and does not leave any residue behind!

So this says to soak the fruit or veg and then rinse off. Well, you can see from my pic (especially the top right corner) what surfaced while my grapes soaked! It's almost an oily film, along with other bits. I was shocked, and pleased, to see how well this worked. Left behind no film or taste! One thing that is silly is it says to use 1/2 tsp yet the packaging is a shaker and doesn't allow measuring out!

This does a great job of cleaning both our store bought and homegrown fruits and vegetables. I was amazed at home much stuff came off our homegrown produce. I really expected it to be cleaner than the store bought stuff, but it wasn't. I guess most of the store bought produce had been previously washed. Some of the store bought fruit was waxier. Our homegrown produce is mostly tomatoes, strawberries, blueberries and blackberries. I've tried a few different types of fruit washes and I also frequently give my berries a diluted vinegar bath. This wash powder works well for cleaning off dirt and wax. I believe some of the other types of washes I've tried may be a bit more effective at disinfecting. It's a fairly small bottle. For what it is, it seems a bit expensive, but a little does go a long way if you're only washing a small bowl of fruit. It dissolves quickly. I haven't noticed much of a difference in taste after soaking them in this wash.

This fruit and vegetable wash powder is pretty easy to use. Just add half a teaspoon to for cups of water, stir, and place your veggies in the solution for a few minutes. Rinse well with fresh water afterwards. It does a good job of rinsing off residue from veggies. I didn't know that I'd use this for porous vegetables like strawberries but it's perfect for uncut peppers, apples, grapes etc. The hole in the cap from which the powder is dispensed is kind of tiny to measure out from without making a mess, though. I also think it's a bit pricey for what it is, and while it cleans the food of basic dirt, it does not kill contaminants such as germs or viruses like hypochlorous acid. It worked great to remove grit from romaine lettuce.

This fruit and veggie wash powder is easy to use and helps me feel more confident that my produce is actually clean. It dissolves well in water and doesn’t leave any weird aftertaste or scent. I’ve used it on strawberries, leafy greens, and grapes and it didn't alter the taste. I like that it’s a powder, so it’s not as bulky to store as a liquid.

I love that this products uses clean ingredients. It is quite messy though; definitely forgo the top and just open it fully. It gets powder everywhere, as well as takes forever to get the mix out of the tiny hole. Mixing up the wash is super easy: just add 1/2 tsp to 4 cups of water. Then soak for 3-5 mins. before rinsing off. The cleaner worked decently, although it separated several times during the soak, and I had to mix it up again. It rinsed off the fruit easily, leaving zero taste behind. We currently use baking soda only soaks, but it takes 10 mins (so twice the time). However, I'm not sure if that time savings is worth the extra price and the mess. The container is quite small and currently on sale for $19; quite pricey, IMO.

This is without a doubt the most effective cleaning product I have used for my fruits. It's flabbergasting the amount of gunk it leaves in the water. It also works quite fast and it's a clean ingredient, quality product. I highly recommend giving it a try. I am very impressed. I love the container design which makes it very functional and easy to use. A little goes a long way so it's definitely great value for money. I will definitely be buying it again.

Before, I just rinsed produce under water before eating, without soaking. Now, I soak everything (leafy greens, veggies, and fruit) in a large bowl with about a teaspoon of this wash, let it soak for a few minutes, gently stir with my hands, and rinse afterward. I’m at awe when I see dirt, debris (and often a film of oil) in the water even from seemingly clean fruit. I’m now more mindful about the food I consume, washing it thoroughly beyond just running water.This product works well, but its small size feels pricey for the cost when not on sale. Other produce wash (sprays or liquids) are more competitive in pricing.

Easy to use. Just sprinkle a little and let it do its magic. Unscented and works well

A must buy. Tasteless, order less, worth the money, removes ALL (I MEAN ALL) residue form from your fruits and veggies. You can see it working immediately. Very easy to use, you can pour or sprinkle.

Doesn’t clean any differently than baking soda and vinegar. Unless all the fruit I’ve bought is super clean I don’t think it’s really working. And the bottle is much smaller than I thought. Not worth money.

My husband rinsed the organic cherries he picked up and thought he was done. I decided to put them in this powder with water to see what happens. We both could not believe the junk that was removed! We will use this for cherries and grapes moving forward

It is greatly affective, everyone should have this.

This product works great for removing dirt and pesticides. Will buy again.

I can see that after soaking the vegetables or fruit that the waxy film from store bought vegetables and fruit floats to the top of the water. I did the broccoli test that I’ve seen other people try and a broccoli head from the store with be hydrophobic and bounce water off the head of the broccoli before soaking it in the wash powder. After soaking the broccoli the water ran through the head of the broccoli when rinsing it so it definitely removes waxy residue/pesticides. The container of powder has lasted me over one month of daily use and I highly recommend this as a household staple for everyone. I’ve tried fit organic wash in a spray bottle and this powder is more noticeably effective.

I tried this on an apple and it did not remove the wax at all. I soaked it twice for 5 minutes, two different solutions, and I still was able to scratch wax off with a knife.

Absolutely disgusted by what this got off my fruits and veggies. Literally like a jello like film.
